Aquaculture Surveys
Autonomous monitoring for underwater farming. Measuring crop density, growth, and health. Operators get decision-ready data on yield and harvest timing without disturbing the crop.

Long-line farming
Long-line farming is an automation friendly and scalable marine farming method with crop growing on suspended ropes. Mussels are most commonly farmed in this way with some 2 megatonnes of mussels grown annually on long-lines.
Our AUV monitoring system removes the need to lift lines out of the water and have experienced staff perform repetitive inspections, reducing cost and improving consistency. We use high resolution imaging and AI data processing to accurately measure crop size, count, and soon condition. Our underwater robots take samples to return to the surface for accuracy validation and manual condition checks.

What we monitor
In addition to standard checks of size and condition, our system provides count and density variability, as well as fouling species biomass monitoring over time. We also monitor for invasive marine organisms which pose a substantial risk to aquaculture globally. We can inspect the farm infrastructure to inform maintenance schedules and reduce unexpected losses and risk. Using SONAR we can get a wider view of the farm for contractor quality assurance.
